WEAPON OF OUR SPIRITUAL WARFARE PT4 .
*📖 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds,
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5.
By the grace of God, in part four of this series, we want to look at the Armour of prayer in demolishing the works of wickedness.
From the above scripture, we understand that we’re not fighting the battles of life alone; God has armed us with a number of spiritual weapons to withstand the schemes of the enemy. One of the most powerful armour being our prayers. Indeed prayer is the master key to unlock the supernatural. Prayers connect us with God, strengthens us for the battles, and keeps us grounded. It opens a dialogue between you and God and reveals to you the deep things of God. In Jeremiah 33:3 “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not”.
In Philippians 4:6 ‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
In Mark 11:24 – Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Beloved, when we’re challenged by the devil and feel like we’ve reached a dead end remember that God Almighty has given us a very potent armour to overcome the schemes of the wicked. Fervent prayer brings us into the presence of the God of all flesh and provoke Him to take over the battles. Whatever the schemes of men, go to God in prayers and He will see you through.
When it was told King David that Ahithophel was among the conspirators with Absalom to overthrow his kingdom. The Bible records that David prayed a simple but devastating prayer ‘O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness (2 Samuel 15:31). That prayer overturned the wisdom of Ahithophel and made his counsel to Absalom of no effect and eventually gave David Victory over the wicked adventure of Absalom. So whatever your challenges or whenever you’re faced with uncertainties, take it to the Lord in prayers and God will surely give you overwhelming victory and dominion.
In Luke 10:18 -19 ‘And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you”. In 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
In Luke 18:2-8. In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man. And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’” And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily.
A fervent prayer of a righteous man gives him victory over all issues of life. God Almighty will surely disappoint all the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. So brethren be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. That situation you’re going through is not beyond God, if you have surrendered your life to Jesus , you are on the winning side. God has already won the battles on your behalf; you just need to exercise your spiritual authority through the spiritual weapons of fervent prayers and walk in the freedom which the Lord has given you. You are victorious on every side. Hallelujah.
PRAYER🙏
*Lord teach me to pray according to your will to combat the onslaughts of the wicked.
*Baptize me with the spirit of grace and supplication.
*Lord, subdue my enemies before me.
*Lord raise genuine intercessors for Your church.
*Lord disgrace our conspirators in the name of Jesus Christ.
