INTRODUCTION: YOU HAVE BEEN SET FREE
Glory be to God! As believers in Christ, we have been genuinely set free. We are no longer meant to live under the dominion of persistent, tormenting fear that controls decisions and leads to error.
Fear manifests in many forms – the fear of untimely death, failure, sickness, disappointment, lack and poverty. Its ultimate goal is to discourage you, distract you, and make you lose focus of God’s unfailing promises over your life.
But here is the good news: You are now in liberty. You are no longer under bondage. Christ has secured your freedom, and you must live in the reality of it.
Understanding The Nature of Fear
Sometimes, fear is not necessarily evidence of demonic bondage; it can be a natural human response. It is natural to feel concerned when faced with challenging circumstances like a difficult lifestyle, a medical diagnosis, or a negative family history.
However, fear becomes destructive and satanic when it moves from a passing emotion to a controlling force, when it begins to dominate your thoughts, dictate your actions, and rob you of your peace.
God is faithful, and you must not allow fear to rob you of your blessings. Do not listen to the loud voice of the world; hold fast unto the infallible Word of God.
It is true that when a lie is repeated loudly enough, it begins to sound like truth. But the Word of God is the ultimate truth that silences every lie.
2 Timothy 1:7
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
God has not given you fear. He has empowered you with power, love, and a sound mind. Therefore, fear has no legal right to rule over you.
Isaiah 41:10
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness”.
Understand this: God is able, willing, and committed to help you, strengthen you, and preserve you.
Psalm 23:4
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”.
God is your comfort. He guides and directs your steps. Do not give room to the lies of the enemy.
Matthew 6:8-10
“Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.”.
Do not be bothered about what tomorrow holds; your future is secured in Christ. Do not allow anxiety and worry to overwhelm you. Make your plans, trust God to perfect them, and put not your trust or hope in any man.
Important Lessons For Your Victory
a) God is Bigger Than All Your Challenges.
Exodus 14:10-14
“And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.”.
Just as God showed forth His power over Pharaoh and the Egyptians, He will show forth His power in your situation. It is proof that He knows the end from the beginning. He is the Almighty. Whatever you are facing is only an avenue for God to demonstrate His power in your life.
b) Don’t Make Your Challenge Bigger Than God.
Always remind the devil that Christ has set you free. Let him know your present identity in Christ Jesus. Never let the size of your challenge determine the size of your faith. Constantly build your faith with the Word of God.
Psalm 27:1-3
“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”.
Psalm 46:1-3
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”.
Romans 8:31
“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”.
If God is with you, no one can be against you.
c) The Spirit of Fear is of The Devil.
Proverbs 29:25
“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.”.
1 Samuel 17:4-5
“And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.”.
Like David before Goliath, you must never let the intimidating size of your challenge shrink your faith.
CONCLUSION: WALK IN YOUR LIBERTY
Beloved, you have been called into liberty. Freedom from fear is not just a promise; it is your inheritance in Christ.
Today, make a conscious decision to reject every form of satanic fear and intimidation. Speak the Word, stand on the Word, and live by the Word. The same God who delivered Israel at the Red Sea, who was with David before Goliath, and who is your light and salvation, is with you right now.
You are safe. You are preserved. You are victorious in Christ Jesus. Amen.
