Text: Psalm 50:1–16
Introduction:
Good morning, brethren , friends, and partners. We’re very excited and privileged to welcome you to God’s presence in this morning glorious Restoration service. I pray that God’s Words will heal our hearts and command total restoration to our souls in Jesus Precious name.
Sacrifice is a powerful spiritual principle that provokes divine intervention, preservation, and supernatural provisions. Throughout the Scripture, God responds to sincere and willing sacrifices made through service in his kingdom, sacrificial giving, prayers, and obedience.
When believers cultivate a lifestyle of sacrificial devotion to God, they position themselves for divine remembrance and heavenly assistance.
God honors sacrifice, and every act of genuine service to Him carries eternal significance and transforms God’s promises to covenant blessings.
Sacrifice Attracts Divine Attention:
Sacrifice has always been a proven way of attracting God’s attention and intervention.
In Psalm 50:5–6 “Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
Serving God wholeheartedly may not always be convenient but requires determination, passion, and faith.
God keeps a record of every sacrifice made in His Kingdom, and He never disappoints those who serve Him with all their hearts.
Sacrifice Provokes established Covenants and generational Blessings:
Sacrifice always provokes God to establish powerful covenants with His people.
In Genesis 12:2 “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.”
In Genesis 22:16–18
“And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing…”
Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son, Isaac, demonstrated his complete obedience, and it activated a covenant blessing that extended to many generations.
The promises God made to Abraham were only activated after his surrender of his only begotten son Isaac.
Some delays in accessing God’s promises and blessings may indicate that God expects a deeper level of surrender or sacrifice before releasing His blessings.
Obedience Unlocks Divine Provision:
When believers obey God, they gain access to His blessings and benefits.
In Deuteronomy 8:18, “But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth…”
Deuteronomy 8:7–8
“For the Lord thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water…”
The blessings that come from God are lasting and free from sorrow.
God Remembers Sacrifices:
God remembers the sacrifices of His people and rewards them in due time.
In Psalm 20:1–3
“The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee.”
In Psalm 50:14–15 “Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High.”
Examples in Scripture show that sacrificial acts can provoke divine intervention.
In 2 Kings 4:1
“Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha…”*
The woman of Zarephath and her household demonstrated sacrificial generosity by supporting the prophet of God despite obvious limitations and severe consequences and were rewarded with divine provisions all through the famine season.
In Luke 7:4–6 “And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy…”
Believers are therefore encouraged not to hold back when giving or serving in God’s Kingdom to experience supernatural abundance and provisions
Key Lessons
- Sacrifice Activates Covenants:
In.Exodus 23:25 “And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water…” - Sacrifice Preserves Life and Posterity:
Sacrificial obedience establishes generational blessings and life preservation, as seen in the lineage of Abraham to Isaac to Jacob to Joseph and so on. - Sacrifice Breaks Curses:
Genesis 8:20–21
“And Noah built an altar unto the Lord; and took of every clean beast…” - Sacrifice Activates Open Heavens:
2 Chronicles 7:5
“And King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen…”
1 Kings 3:4
“And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there…” - Sacrifice Terminates Battles and Struggles:
Judges 11:29–40
“Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah…”
1 Samuel 7:6–13
“And they gathered together to Mizpeh, and drew water…”
Conclusion:
Sacrifice remains a vital key in the believer’s walk with God. It attracts divine attention, activates covenants, opens the heavens, and provokes supernatural provisions.
As we continue to serve God with sincerity, obedience, and generosity, we position ourselves for divine remembrance and blessings that can extend across generations. I pray that every sacrifice offered unto God produces supernatural provisions, intervention, and everlasting testimonies in Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
